De-construct/Re-construct

Here’s the latest version of bike chain link madness. I have completely broken down the chain, cleaned all parts and then manufactured a completely new chain.

Oh Blog, Where Art Thou?

I have been remiss in posting.  I don’t know how many of you have been waiting for an update but as of today, I’m going to try to post about once a week.
Since my last entry about rivets I have been going NUTS with my new knowledge.  My jewelry creations are evolving. I was selected to be in the Art Westport art fair–great show. As a result of that event, I now have a new retail location: Essential Goods in Lawrence, KS.

Rivets

Many thanks to my friends Bryan and Andrea of Amuck Designs http://www.amuckdesign.com/ for the lesson on rivets. Made hollow copper rivets and silver solid rivets to connect bicycle chain links.

Old Sweaters/New Skirt

This idea has been percolating for a while. Purchased 3 nearly identical large, XL, XXL men’s sweaters, 100% wool (with holes, I don’t want to cut up something wearable). Deconstruct,  re-assemble–*poof*–new skirt.
