Here is the rest of the ensemble–a little slouchy hat and a sweater jacket. All of the pieces are made from thrift store sweaters. I made another jacket and a couple of skirts (because I bought a lot of sweaters). This is an interesting diversion but I don’t think I’ll perusing this for sales. My tailoring skills aren’t that good and the learning curve might be too long and too expensive to pay off. I did learn to not panic if a sweater gets a hole–I can mend it, after a fashion, and it’s still functional.

Wes Anderson has a new film to be released in March 2014. He has such a distinctive look in his movies. The Grand Budapest sparked my imagination to do something with all those moth eaten wool sweaters I’ve been hoarding from the thrift store.
Here is part one of my output–the hat. Let’s hope the rest of my project does not take as long as a film to make!

Acquired more random stuff.  The triangles look to be reinforcements for mitered corners in picture frames (or I could just be making up stuff).  Anyway, I have a small punch tool and *POOF* I have bi-metal and Swiss cheese components for new creations.

A friend hooked me up with a new “found” object-horseshoe nails. The steel is stiff but the tip is bendable. With the rowel focal point, a very modern western look.
