I have never been very good documenting my process. I take photos but that’s haphazard too. I made this style of bracelet in March 2016. Now in Aug 2017, I had to figure it out again. Next event Art Westport in Kansas City, booth #72, Sept 8,9,10 2017.
I’m participating in two shows in April:
Martin City (MO) Spring Market, April 7 & 8
Prairie Village (KS) Earth Fair, April 15
Spent TOO much time on this design but finally got it more or less the way I wanted. The recycled elements are wheel spoke nipples–3 are from bicycles, the larger one is from a small motorcycle. My next event is Sunday Dec 6 @ Hotel Phillips in downtown Kansas City.
This week I decided my displays needed to be revised. Of course it started with one that I wanted to re-do and then I realized that all looked kind of shabby. I did make a few earrings for my next show on June6 & 7 in Topeka KS–The Mulvane Art Fair. I will at least have better displays. I really need to make a few more bracelets–we’ll see.
Here’s what I’ve been doing lately. I should be focusing on smaller items for the Recycle Santa Fe event in a WEEK! Instead I’ve been obsessed with these belts made from bike chain. I’ve made these three,so I think I’ve got it out of my system for now. I do like them but they use up a lot of links in the process. Back to the basement to bust up more chain. If you are in the Sante Fe area, the show is Dec 5,6,7–please visit.
