This week I decided my displays needed to be revised. Of course it started with one that I wanted to re-do and then I realized that all looked kind of shabby. I did make a few earrings for my next show on June6 & 7 in Topeka KS–The Mulvane Art Fair. I will at least have better displays. I really need to make a few more bracelets–we’ll see.
I made and have mailed off my second batch of art for the Art-o-mat project. I sent my first batch in over 4th of July weekend 2014. It was very labor intensive and most of the labor involved the packaging! Afterward, I was sick and tired! This time around was better although the packaging is still probably too elaborate but I was less stress about it.
The big push for this past week was re-stocking the Art-o-mat project. There will be more details on that in another post. I did manage to complete one pair of earrings and 50 pieces for Art-o-mat.
Here’s what I’ve been up to. The high light of the week was the Fun Day on Sat at Family Bikes celebrating Bike Week. The weather was crazy (wind, rain and SUN!)–I’ve got a sunburn on my neck that is driving me bonkers! A good week overall.
Once again hit the road (actually the air) and made my way to Chicago to visit my cousin. Hard to believe that Chicago proper only has one Art-o-mat in the city. What a charming restaurant-“Yusho” in Logan Square. We were treated to a soft serve miso ice cream cone with salted caramel–yumm-o! Absolutely lovely staff. Thank you Tim (general manager).
